When life gives you mountains

…try to eat them.


And when that doesn’t work, bask in their glory, be humbled by their presence, and thank them for not hurting you.

There was a short I saw last year at the mountain film festival and in it, they identified peak-bagging as a form of greed.  It is best to go into the mountains without expectations or the feeling of privilege, but instead, proceed with gratitude and humility.  Perhaps this is best to approach most things in life.
