I was working at a health food store when I was 19 and a tourist asked me about neat places within driving distance. My first thought was the big rock. The Big Rock is a large glacial erratic brought to New Hampshire by the Laurentide Ice Sheet during the last ice age. The boulder acts as the centerpiece to a campground on the Kancamagus Highway. My dog is sitting patiently to serve as the 70 cm tall scale in the snow-dusted leaves.
