There is a little room, at the top of the stairs in the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. This is no ordinary room. It has an ever-changing sound and light installation driven by the real-time positions of the sun and moon, seismic activity and the aurora. This room is magical, allowing you to hear and feel the small changes in the world around you that are only detectable by the machines we have created. If you are in Fairbanks for the aurora, the university, the Arctic Circle, or hot springs (or anything else) the museum and this room are definitely worth a look!
