Fjordland Vacationland

Milfordwaterfall

When we visited Fjordland National Park in New Zealand, it had not rained their for the previous 10 days, which is almost unheard of.  Most of the waterfall locations had run dry and their was an eerie calmness about the sea, but the waves picked up toward the mouth of the fjord.  I could not interpret and evaluate the rocks and the landscape fast enough as we drove out to meet the ferry, this is a glacial geologists’ dream vacation!
